Our voice

The basis for pupil voice is found in Article 12 of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child which sets out the right of children to express an opinion and to be included in decisions that involve and affect them. At Walderslade Primary School we pride ourselves on actively trying to include all stakeholders of our school. One of these key groups is our pupils. One of our key engagement tools, along with our class and school council meetings, used are our termly pupil surveys. This enables all pupils across the school to have a voice in giving their views. Over the course of a year all pupils will be consulted for their views on a range of different areas. The six surveys planned for 2017/18 are:

Term 1 = Well being

Term 2 = Attitudes / feelings towards school

Term 3 = Curriculum

Term 4 = Break / lunchtimes / outside learning experiences

Term 5 = The learning environment

Term 6 = Review of the year / Looking forward

Key findings from each of the surveys can be found by clicking on the different surveys above.
